We started small. Our first projects with AI weren't ambitious — we built simple games for our kids, like tic-tac-toe and scrabble, just to see what was possible. From there, we scaled ourselves up: websites, tools, and eventually this entire course platform, all built using a few simple but powerful processes, not years of technical training we never had.
Along the way, we learned something that changed how we think about AI entirely. AI is like a paint palette laid out on a blank canvas. You choose the colors. You choose the picture. AI handles the long, tedious hours of painting — the parts that used to take the most time and the least creativity — and leaves you free to focus on the part that actually needs you: the creative decisions, the direction, the judgment calls only you can make.
That's the whole reason this exists. Not access for people who already had it — access for the people who usually get left out of the room when something important is being taught. Most technology education is built by people who are already comfortable with technology, for people who are already comfortable with technology. It assumes you grew up around it, that you have time to figure things out by trial and error, that jargon won't scare you off. That works for a narrow slice of learners. It leaves almost everyone else to catch up on their own, or not at all.
AI is repeating that pattern, only faster. It's moving into every industry and every job, and the gap between people who understand it and people who don't is widening by the month. We didn't want to watch that gap grow without doing something about it — so we built courses specifically for the people AI education usually skips: people re-entering the workforce, people who didn't grow up with this technology, anyone who's been told "this isn't for you" without ever really being taught.
That belief is the whole method. We teach in plain language, at a pace built for people starting from zero, with real examples instead of abstract theory. No assumptions about what you already know. No pretending confidence you don't have yet is a prerequisite. We've taught this same approach in local communities, to people who'd never touched AI before — and watched them go from hesitant to hands-on.
It's also why our courses are priced the way they are. We're not optimizing for revenue — we're optimizing for adoption. If the price is a barrier, the mission fails before it starts. Keeping courses affordable isn't a discount; it's the point.
We started with tic-tac-toe. If we could go from that to building this platform, you can go from wherever you're starting to using AI with confidence. That's not a slogan — it's just what happened to us, and we'd like it to happen for you too.
